Angela Hoover, LVT, ABCDT

Angie has loved animals her whole life.  At age 16 she got a job working as a kennel attendant in a veterinary hospital.  The longer she worked there the more she learned and eventually became a veterinary assistant.

After graduating from high school she went on to Macomb Community College where she earned an associates degree in applied science.  This was followed by both state and national licensing exams and finally the title of Licensed Veterinary Technician.

For the past 6 years she has been working in the surgery department at Michigan Veterinary Specialists.

She has been interested in animal behavior since rescuing Angel, a dog that had been neglected and abused.  Angel was very fearful and shy.  Upon adopting another discarded dog (Emma) in 2005 she and her husband took both dogs through a class at Trainers Academy.  There she fell in love with clicker training.

She began researching how to learn more about training and behavior modification and found Animal Behavior College (ABC).  In May of 2007 she graduated from ABC and began apprenticing Lisa Patrona.

Angie plans to continue her education through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute this spring.

She has a passion to improve owner-dog communication and deepen their bond.

She lives in Redford with her husband Jason, three dogs (Angel, Emma, & Hope), and cat Bella.
