Hi Everyone!

We are more than thrilled to announce our grand reopening!  Jessica will be answering DayCare reservation calls remotely from 10am to 4pm starting on Monday June 8th!  Please call to reserve the day or days you plan to bring your dog/s - we need to know what to expect for staff scheduling when DayCare officially reopens on Monday June 15th.

Since we anticipate being a bit slower than normal at first, we will operate DayCare service hours from 7am to 5pm starting on the 15th, until we're back up to more normal operations capacity.

To resume operations safely, the following will be in place starting on June 15th until further notice. These measures will help prevent foot traffic inside the entrance and at the DayCare counter area during drop off/pick up.

DayCare is going curbside!

* DayCare clients are asked to call the DayCare cell number (or ring the door bell) when you've arrived at the facility to drop off your dog/s so staff can come outside to get your dog/s from you.

* We'll ask clients to do the same during pick up so staff can bring your dog/s out to you.

* If you owe for your dog's care that day, or need to purchase or renew a package of visits, we'll give you a call (or you can call us!) to take care of that over the phone.

* If you need to enter the facility during drop off or pick up we require you to bring and wear your own face mask/covering, and to maintain social distancing.

We have installed a plexiglass shield at our DayCare counter to maximize safety for our clients and staff.

TA will be going back to the sanitizing procedures in place at the facility before we had to shut down - including frequent sanitizing of door handles, counter surfaces, phones, cash register, walkie's, etc. in addition to our normal daily cleaning procedures.  We'll also operate our fresh air return system on a regular basis throughout the day.  DayCare staff will be provided with a washable face mask, disposable gloves, hand sanitizer and are asked to wash their hands frequently.

As for training classes, we'll be releasing more in the next day or 2 on that.  But students and staff will be required to wear face masks and maintain 6' distance from others.  Additionally though, if the weather permits we could hold group class outside, instead of inside on the training floor.

Please remember to make your DayCare reservations starting on June 8th - and if you have questions, please let us know!

We appreciate your support and can't wait to see you and your dogs again!

Take Care,

Lisa and the TA Staff

Hi Everyone,

First and foremost, I hope this post finds you and your families all safe, and well.

I wanted to write with an update on how the staff has been doing, and what's news on our end. I have been in touch with everyone, and they're staying safe and doing well, but we all miss you and your dogs so much (!) and look forward being open again - hopefully soon!

It looks like it's going to be a few more weeks before we can plan a reopen date. Once determined though, we'll give you all plenty of notice, and will also update you on our plans for making sure we restart and continue operations in the safest way possible for everyone.

In the meantime, my husband, Tristan, and our web developer friend have been working hard to get our new website done. It's a long time coming and we're hoping to have it go live within the next week or so! I'll make an announcement so you can check it out as soon as it's ready. The new site will allow me to post updates there, so stay tuned!

Lastly, been meaning to send links to some great DIY puzzle toys you can make for your dogs. I hope you find the links useful. Lots of great ideas for fun ways to keep your companions occupied!

Also check out the Canine Enrichment page on Facebook - a great group with even more ideas! You'll need to request to join the group, but you won't be disappointed!

Until next time, stay safe and please give your dogs a special treat from all of us at TA!

Take Care,

Lisa and the TA Staff

March 20, 2020

I hope you and your families are well despite the growing concerns about COVID 19 in our community. Given the growing number of confirmed cases rising, especially in Oakland County where they are expected to continue to increase at a quick rate - I have made the decision to temporarily close Trainers Academy, LLC operations effective at 5pm today March 19th, 2020.

Although neither our State nor Federal government has ordered 'non-essential' businesses to close, I feel it is the best decision I can make now to help safeguard the well being of staff, clients and our communities.

My staff has been laid off temporarily, and will be able to apply for unemployment benefits to support them during this time.

We'll miss seeing all of you and your dogs for a little while, and we know your dogs will miss coming to play, but I want to reassure you all that we will be open for business again just as soon as we possibly can, and we will get through this.

You are all like family and I want to thank every one of you for your continuing support.

I'll continue to keep you updated as we move along through this terrible situation. For now, take good care of you and yours, I'll be in touch soon.
